Mind-Body-Spirit Love Fest

April 26, 2010 By: celedra Category: Mind Body Spirit, Raw Food

I’m on my third week of P90X.  I’ve run marathons, done Bikram Yoga and a number of other exercise adventures.  Never has anything felt like this.  It must be the muscle confusion.  My body feels so alive and vibrating with transformation.  Dreams are more vivid and meditation more spacious.  Maybe it’s all the raw food dancing for joy inside my little cells!  Whatever it is, meditation,  a living food diet, and daily exercise are truly the three pillars of a daily Mind-Body-Spirit Love Fest for me.

Sacred living – Creating new habits/priorities

After all these years, these three pillars have solidly become a priority – most of the time. This has been the hardest habit to ingrain.  ‘They’ say that it is our habitual propensities that keep us here in this repetitive round of samsara.   Yes, I do believe that.  Habits are so sticky!  You can have endless conversations with them, they listen politely, then turn around and do what they have always done without a second thought.  What, I have often wondered, have I been talking to and what would it take to change them!

Exercise – our lives depend on it

One book changed my thinking about exercise forever.  It is Younger Next Year for Women: Live Strong, Fit, and Sexy-until You’re 80 and Beyond by Chris Crowley, Henry S. Lodge.   I loved it! It’s a wonderful mix of science and inspiration that unequivocally convinces not just to exercise, but exactly how much and how often in order to live a life of quality and vitality.  If you haven’t read it, please do.  Worth every page and definitely a must if you want to live a great life until 107 (my promise to my grandson).  So now, I meditate, make my smoothie, get a glass of water and turn on Tony (P90X) first thing in the morning.

Everything still seems to get done.  The only difference is that I feel so much better doing all the everythings.

I would so love to hear your path of daily practice and the challenges we are go through.

Love and blessings,

Celedra

  2. I saw the P90X infomercial this morning and I’m intrigued. I will look into it before I make a purchase. It is kind of priceywith all the accessories.
